Services & FAQs

Please feel free to peruse the following page for brief descriptions of just a few of the ailments we treat and then visit our office for additional information.

p1.jpgColon Polyps and Colon Cancer:  You may have questions about the treatment that could lie ahead or your prospects for recovery.  Your surgeon will evaluate your case and discuss an individual treatment plan for you, including the possible option of laparoscopic (through smaller incisions) colon surgery.  We also work with an excellent  team of doctors to provide ongoing care after surgery.

Hernia: Men, women, and children of all ages can have hernias. A hernia is a weakness or tear in the wall of the abdomen. Hernias may get worse or grow larger with time or physical stress. Don’t let a hernia limit what you do. Surgery can help prevent other problems from developing, so seek treatment promptly. Soon after surgery, you’ll be able to get back to work, and to the things you enjoy.

p7.jpgThyroid Surgery: You may not hear much about thyroid problems, but they're common and affect many people. Benign and cancerous tumors of the thyroid, as well as other conditions, may require surgical treatment.  Abnormal parathyroid glands (which are located near the thyroid) may also require surgery.

Hemorrhoids: Hemorrhoids aren’t life threatening, but the symptoms they cause are hard to ignore. Fortunately, there are many treatments that can provide relief right away. Most of these do not involve surgery. You can also learn simple ways to help keep hemorrhoids from returning.  If you suffer from this condition you need evaluation, treatment, and prevention.

Gall Bladder:  People more likely to have gallstones include:  Women, often in their 40's, women who have been pregnant, men and women who are over-weight (but losing weight too quickly may increase the risk of forming stones), parents, siblings, and children of people with gallbladder problems. Certain foods can make your problems worse. If you have gallbladder problems, it's best to avoid fatty or spicy foods. Eating these can trigger pain or other symptoms. So before your gallbladder problems are treated, stay away from fried foods, oils, high-fat dairy products, and spicy or peppery meals.

Breast Disease:  We diagnose and treat many common breast conditions, including breast cancer. We work in close association with the Anaheim Memorial Breast Center and are part of a team of breast care specialists which includes Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pathologists, Radiologists, and Plastic Surgeons.  You will receive compassionate and timely care.  A female Breast Surgeon is part of this team for patients who request this.

Complex Laparoscopic Surgery:  Including hernia repair, Colon resection, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, and splenic and adrenal problems.
